EInvoice Inbox//Technical service description

Prerequisites

• The application requires access to an existing email mailbox in order to access and eventually forward electronic invoices
• If the application is not already bound to an existing mailbox, the user has to configure the mailbox before intial use. A mailbox must allow access via the IMAP (access) and SMTP (sending) protocols.
• The application needs to run on the most recent version resp. patch level of the underlying platform. Only those platform versions may be used, which are still actively supported by their vendors, and are thus not yet end-of-life. In particular, the list of trusted root certificates should be up-to-date.

Features

• The application checks messages in the email inbox if they contain electronic invoices. For this, it may be required to select/view a particular message.
• The application recognizes electronic invoices according to the "XRechnung"-Standard in the formats Cross Industry Invoice ("UN/CEFACT"; also when used with the ZUGFeRD-Profil "XRechnung") and UBL.
• Such invoices will be visualized for the user in a simplified form.
• If the invoice requires payment and contains payment information, the application can create an EPC QR-code based on that information.
• Depending on the application environment and user configuration, the application allows to forwarded or save the invoice as well as eventually contained attachments.
