When migrating from or to one of the following providers using the audriga migration service, please consider the notes and limitations mentioned below1.
Note: The provider list of our application contains many more providers, for which no additional notes are given.
Domainfactory

- attachments up to 100 MB
Freenet
- please make sure to enable IMAP
- limited to 500 MB (Basic), 2,5 GB (Plus) resp. 1 GB2 (Power) storage space

- number of personal folders limited to 20 (FreeMail), 100 (ProMail) resp. 256 (TopMail)
- folder hierarchy may not exceed three levels
GoDaddy
- Please check the feature set of your GoDaddy mailbox. Some packages only allow access by Webmail. Such mailboxes can not be accessed by our service without an upgrade.
Google Mail (Gmail)
- Google may reject extraordinary login attempts, even if you provided the correct credentials
- The best way to circumvent this, is to create a so called application-specific password for our service. When submitting the Gmail account for migration, you should use this password.
- Attachments up to 25 MB (in total per message)
- IMAP may need to be manually activated
- Google Mail allows for ca. 2 GB mail traffic per day. Beyond this limit, an account may be blocked for 24 hours. While our service respects this limit (which results in a slower migration) we can not completely rule out problems. You should not access your Google Mail account with other devices during the migration process (e.g., mobile phone synchronization or other email clients).
- Since Google Mail is restricted to one connection and the 2 GB traffic limit per day, the migration of large accounts may take considerable time.
- Please not that emails that have no label assigned ("Archive") will not be migrated. Please assign a label to those mails before starting a migration. You can find all unlabled emails by searching for "has:nouserlabels" in Gmail.
Google Workspace (formerly G Suite)
- Please follow this guide for a migration from Google Workspace as source
- Please follow this guide for a migration to Google Workspace as destination
IONOS Mail
- IONOS Mail Basic mailboxes have a default size of 2 GB. You might need to upgrade storage if your source account is larger.
- When transferring a domain from IONOS to another provider or between two IONOS contracts, IONOS will automatically rename the login name of the mailboxes. You can look up those modified login names in the IONOS Control Center (see also [1]).
IONOS Exchange
- Please make sure that IMAP is activated if you migrate from a different source than Exchange, (see [2])
Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online (Admin)
- choosing this provider entry means that you'll have to use the "Admin/ Service Account option" to authenticate
- go for this when you don't know or don't want to use usernames and passwords of all accounts that shall be migrated
- find and follow this guide: MS 365 Authentication via Admin or Service Account
Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online (OAuth)
- choosing this provider entry means that you'll use the "Username + Password option" to authenticate
- go for this when you do know and want to use usernames and passwords of all accounts that shall be migrated
- please note: no csv-upload possible
Outlook.com (also known as Hotmail/Live.com)
- Limited to 28 folders (inlcludes existing default folders)
- Please note, that this entry does NOT refer to the email client Microsoft Outlook. If you use Microsoft Outlook as email client, you will have to choose your provider's name as current provider to set up a migration, not "Outlook".
Strato
- message size incl. attachments may not exceed 100 MB
- Please note when removing a domain from Strato:
- When a domain is removed, the user names of your e-mail inboxes automatically change from name@domain.de to backup-0001@anderedomain.de (if you still have a domain in the Strato package) or to backup-0001@11111111.swh.strato-hosting.eu (you can find the correct number for the back part in the "Master ID", which is displayed in the Strato control panel under "Your package" => "Information about your technical features"). If necessary, try whether you can log in at https://webmail.strato.de/.
- Please also note: your e-mail address may no longer be valid as a user name for logging into the Strato Control Panel. Please use your customer number. If you have any questions, please contact Strato Support first.
- This information only applies if you want to carry out an e-mail transfer from Strato after a domain has been removed. If the target provider allows you to create mailboxes without first moving the domain, you should carry out the email transfer before the domain transfer.
